Dr. Ines Alvarez-Garcia

Ines was a postdoctoral researcher in the lab until April 2009. She is currently senior editor in the journal PLoS Biology.

Dr. Paul Avery

Paul was a PhD student in the lab until 2010.He is currently a Life Science and Healthcare communications PR Account Manager at Alto Marketing.

Dr. Bhavna Chanana

Bhavna is now a Consultant at a boutique life sciences consulting firm that advises executives and investors in the pharmaceutical industry. She provides decision-making support at the asset, franchise, and corporate level on a broad range of issues, including market opportunity assessment, life cycle management, and portfolio optimization strategy. 

Dr. Philippe Loiseau

Philippe was a PhD student from the Wellcome 4 year PhD programme in Developmental Biology.  He is currently project officer in a biotechnology company focused on rapid screening and diagnostic of infectious diseases, located in Paris (www.genewave.com). Philippe manages R&D projects, coordinates european collaborations (FP7-Health projects) and is in charge of the patent portfolio.

Dr. Maruxa Martinez-Campos

Maruxa was a postdoctoral visitor in the lab. She is currently an assistant editor in the journal Genome Biology.

Dr. Isabel Peset-Martin

Isabel is currently a postdoc at the CRI, Cambridge, UK

Fan Cheng

Fan was a summer student in 2006. He is currently a PhD student in Genetics, at the University of Cambridge, UK.

Joao Firmino

Joao was the lab technician and is now a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden, Germany

Anna Franz

Anna was a rotation student in the lab from the Wellcome 4 year PhD programme in Development Biology.

Katrina Gold

Kat was a summer student in the lab in 2005. She is currently a Science Portfolio Manager at Genetics and Molecular Sciences for the Wellcome Trust.

Nic J. Lehrbach

Nic was a rotation student in the lab in the spring 2006 from the Wellcome 4 year PhD programme in Developmental Biology.

Oxana Nashchekina

Oxana was the lab technician until October 2008. She is currently a Research Technician at the Gurdon Institute in Cambridge, UK

Bing Fu

Bing was an MPhil student sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Singapore. His area of research was the establishment of oocyte polarity during oogenesis.

Dr. Pedro Saavedra

Pedro was a PhD student shared with the lab of Dr. Peter Lawrence. His area of research was cell polarity during oogenesis. He is now a postdoc in the lab of Stephen Cohen.

Dr. James Tollervey

James was the technician of the lab. He did a PhD at the LMB, Cambridge and is now a senior scientist at LGC Biosearch Technologies.

Dr. Marta Vicente Crespo

Marta was a postdoctoral researcher in the lab until December 2008. She then went to do a postdoc at the University of California San Diego in La Jolla. She is currently the CARTA Program manager in the Research Capacity Strengthening Division of the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) in Nairobi, Kenya.

Dr. Lucy Williams

Lucy is now a UK and European patent attorney. She helps inventors protect their biotechnology inventions by drafting and prosecuting biotech patent applications at the UK and European patent offices.  

Dr. Alexis L. Braun

Alexis was a PhD student in the lab that finished in the autumn of 2015. She worked on epithelial patterning and body plan mapping in the Drosophila egg chamber. She is now a postdoc in the lab of Dr. Yuu Kimata, where she has taken the knowledge she gained in Developmental Biology and CRISPR, and applied it to a new project integrating cell cycle.

Benjamin was a summer student at the Lab in 2013. He is currently a fourth year MD/PhD student at the University of Illinois.

DR. DEEPTHY Francis

Deepthy was a Technician and PhD Student at the lab. She is now the Research Coordinator at IBD BioResoure of the Department of Medicine, University of Cambridge.
